Isaiah Thomas loses his tooth and shows why mouthguards are important

Isaiah Thomas had his front tooth knocked out while playing in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals.

In the replay when can see the tooth go flying when Thomas runs into Washington Wizard’s Otto Porter Jr. elbow while attempting the swipe at the ball. This happened during the first quarter, but Thomas remained in the game and scored 33 points to lead the Celtics’ to a 123-111 win against the Wizards.

We might see more NBA players start to wear mouthguards after this incident.
